A standalone Raspberry Pi that does one thing: serve ManyArks.earth locally. Always on, always ready. Connects to your home network to sync when internet is available, then serves the site over its own WiFi hotspot when it is not. No screen, no keyboard — headless operation. Set it up once and forget it exists until you need it.
More than sufficient to serve a static site. The 2GB model is the sweet spot — 4GB and 8GB offer no benefit for this use case. Widely available, well-documented, massive community.

The simplest mirror: a USB drive containing the full static export of ManyArks.earth. Plug it into any computer and open index.html in a browser. No server, no WiFi, no Pi. Works on Windows, Mac, and Linux. The most portable, most distributable, most resilient format — you can copy it, mail it, or hand it to another family. The USB Stick is how the knowledge physically leaves the digital world.
Metal body survives drops, heat, and pocket carry. 32GB holds the full site many times over. USB 3.0 for fast reads. Samsung BAR Plus or Kingston DataTraveler are solid choices.

Every piece of knowledge on ManyArks.earth lives on a server. That server runs on electricity, connects through an internet backbone, is hosted by a company (Vercel), stores data in a database (Neon), and is registered under a domain name managed by a registrar. Every one of these layers can fail. The power goes out. The hosting company changes terms. The domain expires. The database corrupts. The internet fragments. The knowledge itself — how to build a mesh network, how to grow food in a vertical hydroponic system, how to process humanure safely, how to set up a pressure canner, how to close a wound — that knowledge is not fragile. It is the platform that is fragile. The Ark Mirror separates the knowledge from the platform. A Raspberry Pi in a heatsink case on your shelf, serving the full site over WiFi, needs nothing from the outside world. No DNS. No hosting. No database. No internet. It needs 5 volts and a microSD card. The knowledge is static files — HTML, CSS, JSON — that a browser can read without a server, without a network, without anything beyond the device in your hand and the files on the card. The USB Stick goes further. It is the knowledge in its most physical form — a metal drive you can hold, copy, mail, or hand to someone. It works on any computer with a browser. It requires no operating system knowledge, no configuration, no setup. Open the file. Read the rig. Build the thing. This is what the Development Agreement means when it says the site must be exportable as a fully static bundle at any time. Not because static sites are better technology — they are not, for a dynamic build tracker. But because the knowledge layer must be separable from the application layer. The build tracker is a tool for designing rigs. The static export is the rigs themselves, preserved in a form that outlasts the tool that created them. The Ark Mirror is not a backup. A backup assumes the original will come back. The Ark Mirror assumes it might not. It is the version of ManyArks that survives the loss of ManyArks — the knowledge that lives after the platform that held it is gone. Every Ark should have one.
